Working For Justice:
Challenging the Abuses of Chicago's Day Labor Industry

This 14 minute video presents the struggle of workers to challenge the abuses of the day labor industry in Chicago. These day laborers tell the story of their efforts to expose and confront their habitual exploitation in the workplace and describe their work to achieve self-determination through worker-led collective action.
The video won an honorable mention in the Alliance For Community Media's Hometown Video Festival and a silver plaque in the 2005 Hugo Awards For Television.
It was produced as part of San Lucas Workers Center's partnership with Chicago Access Network Television (CAN TV). The video was made possible in part with support from the Crossroads Fund.
